Question 1

What is Lanista Gladiator Manager?

Accepted Answer

Lanista is a free online gladiator manager game where you play as a Roman lanista (gladiator trainer). You recruit gladiators from three combat classes (Dimachaerus, Retiarius, Provocator), train them in real time with customizable schedules, forge and equip weapons and armor, and battle other players in tactical PvP arena combat to climb the global rankings. The game features real-time progression, hidden potential stats, class-specific skill trees, and a unique beast breeding system.

Question 2

Is this gladiator game free to play?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Lanista is a completely free online gladiator game you can play in your browser with no download required. All core features including gladiator recruitment, training, equipment forging, PvP battles, beast breeding, tournaments, and alliances are free. An optional VIP membership adds quality-of-life perks like extra gladiator slots and training speed boosts, but the full game is accessible for free.

Question 3

How do I play the online gladiator game?

Accepted Answer

Start by recruiting fighters from a rotating pool of gladiators across three classes. Schedule real-time training (strength, speed, defense, stamina, technique, precision) that progresses even while you're offline. Forge weapons and armor using arena salvage and fragments. Build a vivarium to capture and breed exotic beasts like Atlas Bears, Barbary Lions, Anatolian Leopards, Eurasian Wolves, Nile Crocodiles, and Barbary Macaques that fight alongside your gladiators. Challenge other players in auto-simulated tactical arena battles with live commentary. Join weekend tournaments, form alliances, and climb the ranked PvP ladder.

Question 4

What are beasts and breeding in Lanista?

Accepted Answer

Beasts are powerful creatures from across the Roman Empire that fight alongside your gladiators in battle. Capture Atlas Bears, Barbary Lions, Anatolian Leopards, Eurasian Wolves, Nile Crocodiles, and Barbary Macaques through beast hunts. Build and upgrade a vivarium to house your beasts, then breed them to create stronger offspring. Breeding produces new beasts with inherited stats and rare genetic traits. Higher-tier beasts can dominate in combat and provide massive strategic advantages in PvP battles.

Question 5

What are the gladiator classes in Lanista?

Accepted Answer

There are three gladiator combat classes: Dimachaerus (dual-wielding offense specialist), Retiarius (net-and-trident mobility fighter), and Provocator (sword-and-shield defensive tank). Each class has unique skill trees with tactical abilities, counter-matchups, and playstyles. Classes affect equipment options, battle tactics, and strategic positioning in the arena.

Question 6

How does PvP combat work in Lanista?

Accepted Answer

PvP battles are auto-simulated tactical combats between your gladiator (and beast) versus an opponent. You select your fighter, equip gear, choose battle tactics, and deploy your beast. The simulation runs with live color commentary, round-by-round action, and post-match headlines. Battles generate detailed combat logs, HP histories, and animated replays. Win fights to earn rating, climb the ranked ladder, unlock trophies, and gain equipment fragments. Battle scars can occur, adding permanent stat modifications.

Question 7

Can I play Lanista on mobile?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Lanista is a browser-based game that works on any device with a modern web browser including mobile phones, tablets, desktop computers, and laptops. No download or installation required. Simply visit lanistamanager.com and play immediately.

Question 8

How does training work in Lanista?

Accepted Answer

Training is real-time and progresses even when you're offline. Each gladiator has six stats (strength, speed, defense, stamina, technique, precision). You create custom weekly training schedules with three daily sessions (morning, afternoon, evening). Stats improve based on training focus, hidden potential multipliers, age, and equipment bonuses. Gladiators age from prime years to decline, requiring strategic retirement and replacement decisions.
